Four Mile Historic Park 39.703114° N -104.927315° W

Description

Four Mile Historic Park is a 12-acre piece of country in the heart of the city. Home to the Four Mile House, Denver’s oldest standing structure, our mission is to educate a diverse community through experiences that promote the preservation, responsible interpretation, and enjoyment of Denver’s storied western heritage.

We offer standards-aligned field trips for groups both large and small, along with a Traveling Trunk program on subjects such as homestead life, Indigenous cultures, and Colorado women to bring the hands-on history to your school or library.

(We are closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays but are still available for field trips)

Lunch Notes

Groups are able to stay for 45 minutes past the end of their program to eat lunch in our park. Picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have no indoor eating space available.

Bathroom Notes

4 single bathrooms are available on the Park itself. Accessible bathrooms are available at the back of the Park and in our main building. Please let us know any needs before your trip.

Cancellation Policy

We are unable to refund any cancelled field trips but can credit towards a future field trip.
(Exceptions can be made in cases of illness or weather. As Four Mile is an outdoor facility activities are dependent on weather)
Groups running more than a half-hour late without notice will be considered cancelled.
