The Noble Maritime Collection is a museum and study center located on the North Shore of Staten Island. The museum is housed in a 21,000 sq.-ft. fully accessible historic building within the Sailors’ Snug Harbor Cultural Center. The museum has much to offer in terms of differing spaces for the students to explore; from the immersive boathouse to art studio workspaces to the interactive classrooms there is something for all ages.
The organization offers a diverse collection of school programs for grades 2-12 with a focused blend of art and history related to New York City’s working waterfront.
For any questions related to education programs and school trips to the museum, you can book an appointment to speak with a member of the Noble's staff here.
The museum has no indoor dining option. The museum is located on Snug Harbor’s site and there are options for classes to eat in the outdoor spaces within the property. The Teacher’s Guide will highlight where on the site it is appropriate for students to have lunch.
Fully accessible facilities are located in the lowest level of the museum with multiple stalls in both of the gendered restrooms.
Cancelled or Rescheduled trips must be made 2 weeks in advance of your trip date. If you would like to cancel/reschedule your trip please email education@noblemaritime.org.
