Sauder Village is Ohio's largest living-history museum that recreates life in Northwest Ohio's Great Black Swamp from 1803 to 1928. Through self-guided tours, our costumed interpreters provide students of all ages with hands-on history, engaging their attention and senses. The Sauder Village experience moves guests from the modern, fast-paced life into a world that celebrates unforgettable sights, sounds, and memories from the past.
Please note that there are two different types of field trip reservations- one with a lunch reservation, and one without. If you are selecting to book a field trip with a lunch reservation, please know that the time you select will be your LUNCH time, not your arrival time. There will be a space available in the form to indicate what your estimated time of arrival will be.
Two lunch buildings, our Harvesting Building and Festival Barn, are available for students and groups to use upon reservation. Additionally, to purchase food we have a Soda Fountain within the Historic Village, and the Barn Restaurant next to the Welcome Center.
If your school group consists of 50 people or less (including adult chaperones) and you do not see a lunch space available for the time you want, please contact Samantha Wyse at samantha.wyse@saudervillage.org.
Six bathrooms are located throughout the Historic Village, including one conveniently located at our school entrance gate. Our bathrooms consist of multiple stalls and family restrooms and are ADA accessible.
Schools who have not yet made a payment are able to cancel with no penalty, but we do ask that you inform us of your cancellation as soon as possible.
