Bridges of Cultural Understanding

Bring cross-cultural education into your school with our online global field trip celebrating diversity. Led by a Mizel Museum educator, your students will interact with themes and objects from around the world, discovering that there is much more that unites us than divides us. Designed for students in kindergarten through 8th grades with appropriate scaffolding to support each grade level. Meets Colorado Academic Standards in Social Studies, Comprehensive Health, Reading, Writing, and Communicating, Music, Virtual Arts, and World Languages. $250 plus $1/person/program. Limited scholarships available for schools; please inquire.

Eyewitness to History: A Holocaust Survivor Speaks

Through powerful video testimonies of Holocaust survivors, students will be inspired to stand up to hatred in the world today, engage in discussions that develop empathy, and learn how to discern factual information from disinformation. This in-person or virtual program is led by an expert Mizel Museum educator and was created in partnership with Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation. Meets Colorado Academic Standards and requirements in the new Colorado Holocaust and Genocide Studies in Public Schools bill. $350 base fee plus $1/person. Limited scholarships available for schools; please inquire.

At the Table with Dr. King

At The Table with Dr. King is a multifaceted performance that teaches students about the American Civil Rights movement and valuable lessons of equality and respect. Through music, poetry, historical video footage and Dr. King’s own words, At The Table with Dr. King also challenges students to engage in creative acts of service and leadership in their communities. Meets Colorado Academic Standards in Social Studies, Drama and Theatre Arts, Music, and Comprehensive Health. In-person performances start at $9/person; see our website for more information.
