Lets be Gliders! Explore the wonderful world of seeds and how they use the wind and their shapes to travel and find new homes. We will read the Dandelion Seed (Joseph Anthony), learn about different types of seeds and animals who glide instead of fly, and make and test our own paper gliders!
We will need a place to drop the gliders from, such as a playground or a balcony.
Each Participant will receive:
1) Their own paper glider
2) Extra glider patterns to make more
What will your child learn?
1) There is a difference between gliding and flying
2) That seeds, animals, and people can all travel by gliding
3) That seeds need the wind in order to become plants
4) Practice Fine Motor Skills: Using scissors
Little Wings focuses is all about Early Childhood. Participants will hear a story, learn through hands-on activities, and go home with something new each time. We focus on asking questions, learning through doing, and adult/child bonding.
