"Juggling for Fun" Workshop

Description

"Juggling for Fun" is a workshop developed by Captain David Sharps during his years with Carnival Cruise Lines working as an entertainer. Using drills, games and exercercises a group of 10 to 15 people can learn to juggle in about 1 1/2 hours. Suggested age is 10 and up. If you can throw and catch one ball, you can learn to juggle. Juggling teaches eye-hand coordination, patience, and helps develop confidence. Eye quickness develops reading skills. Can also be used for teachers and executives as a learning workshop for leadership and management skills.

The workshop can also be utilized for educators as a "teacher's workshop" - that is a group of teachers who participate. Using juggling as a medium and as a tool, one can rediscover what it is to be on the side of the student trying to learn something they don't know how to do. It is a fun experience and offers the chance to discuss and explore aspects of both teaching and learning. The workshop ends with a show and tell presentation from the teachers and a juggling demonstration.
