Description

Wildwood is waiting for you. Engage students in a hands-on exploration of the natural world where active learning in a fun, fresh-air environment creates renewal and enthusiasm. Wildwood programs are designed to achieve positive youth-development outcomes like increased affinity for nature, interest in exploration, teamwork and problem-solving confidence for school-aged kids or adult groups.

Our trained program facilitators meet or exceed national standards for qualifications, screening, practical skills and facilitation skills. We use a high ratio of staff: participants (usually 1:12) to provide individualized attention, coaching, and supervision for all of our programs.

Challenge Programs – Programs promoting teamwork and problem-solving.

Lunch Notes

Wildwood provides picnic areas for school or participant provided sack lunches.

Bathroom Notes

Wildwood has indoor flushing toilets throughout the camp. Bathroom breaks will be taken throughout the day and encouraged by the facilitators.

Planet Adventure

Planet Adventure is the dream team of archery, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and a high ropes activity. Together these programs work to reset your mind, making them great activities to do when your group needs a break from the same routine. Getting the chance to do these outdoor adventures can be transformative to so many people. Focus on fun with this field trip.

Duration: 4-6 hours

Planet Connection

Planet Connection brings groups to our outdoor adventure challenge course to work on teambuilding skills. Working with the group one participant can expand their mindset and activate the social emotional learning skills taught to them in the classroom. Our facilitators can work with any group to transform the team into a reflective, concentrated, goal oriented group. This is a great field trip for getting to know each other, building relationships, solving problems, and so much more.

Planet Explore

Planet Explore is perfect for meeting STEM standards and practices. It combines makerspace with bio-inspired design to create the perfect hands-on experience for your group. Focus on the sticky feet of frogs, bugs, and other creatures and find ways to turn your feet into sticky feet! Using the engineering design process participants will work as teams to create, test, redesign and present their findings in a series of exciting games, challenging design problems, and nature based exploration activities.

Duration: 7 hours
