The New Children’s Museum unlocks children’s innate creativity by exposing them to art and the creative process. The museum’s interactive art installations and hands-on art programming provide creative and educational experiences for children and families. We work with artists to reimagine our spaces so that there is always something “new” to discover when you visit.
Food is not permitted inside the museum. We recommend having snack time before the start of your field trip in the park across the street, or on the sidewalk directly outside the museum entrance.
There is a cafe inside the museum with very limited seating. NCM does not have an indoor lunch space for large groups and field trips. Weather permitting, we recommend lunching across the street in our nearby park space. There is a large shaded tree area with concrete seating on one side and a covered concrete patio space on the other. The park includes a swing and grassy area. If students bring their lunch to eat after the tour, we will collect them to store while your group is on the tour. We ask that you do not send your students with money.
There are bathrooms on every level of the museum. The upper and lower levels have two, single stall, family restrooms each. The main level has one family restroom, one women’s, and one men’s restroom with multiple stalls in each.
One water fountain is located on each level of the museum by the bathrooms. Additionally, there is a water bottle refill station by the main level restrooms.
If you must cancel your tour, please do so at least 14 days in advance. No shows and last-minute cancellations may be denied future visit requests.
