The Collaborative of the SCFD is a membership organization comprised of arts, culture and science non-profits funded by the SCFD.
The SCFD is a sales and use tax (one penny on every $10) funds over 300 nonprofit organizations and has been renewed by residents in 7 counties for over 30 years! Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties participate, with the exception of Castle Rock and Larkspur in Douglas County.
The Collaborative’s members contribute to the Collaborative SCFD Grant, formerly known as the Alliance Project Grant, given to one K-12 public school in each of the SCFD counties. A team of teachers from an eligible county may apply for the grant February-April. It provides from $3,000-$10,000 worth of art, culture and science programming including workshops, field trips, assemblies, virtual learning experiences, as well as bus and substitute teacher support.
