Museum of Arts and Design 40.767418° N -73.98208° W

Description

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) explores the various innovations that have been made in design and craft; both current and historic. It is devoted to curating exhibits that exemplify craftsmanship and original thought in the name of function and art. The exhibitions explore everyday objects that have been (re)imagined and (re)created in unconventional ways. Tours at MAD, otherwise known as MADlabs, encourage students to observe and discuss visual objects and then, through hands-on workshops, investigate solutions using the design process.
