ABOUT
Lindsay Wildlife Experience has a mission to connect people with wildlife to inspire responsibility and respect for the world we share.
We accomplish this by saving animals’ lives with the goal of returning hospital patients to the wild, and by providing guests with special, up-close encounters with our animal ambassadors.
Our community also has a vision statement:
Vibrant and healthy habitats for wildlife throughout California.
VISIT WITH A CLASS
Lindsay Wildlife Experience offers 5 on-site field trips for prek/preschool-5th grade that align with NGSS curriculum. We offer these on-site field trips during the school year from September through May. Field trips start at 10:00am or 11:40am and run for 80 minutes. See the fields trip programs listed below to find the best fit for you and your students!
NOTE:
Student groups are required to have a minimum of 1 adult chaperone to every 5 students. The maximum is 1 adult chaperone to every 3 students. Teachers count toward the chaperone limit. Any additional chaperones that exceed the 1:3 ratio maximum are welcome to join us, but they will be subject to the general admission fee of the museum. This payment will be due at the time of the program.
COST
There are 2 price and size options for our on-site field trips
Option 1- One class of 30 or less students for $250
Option 2- Two classes of 60 (combined) or less students during the same time slot for $450
Payment must be recieved at least 3 weeks prior to the date of the visit.
Please note that we are located in Larkey Park, which has many picnic tables and a play area. Lindsay Wildlife Experience does not have a space to accommodate student lunch breaks.
Visiting Larkey Park is great for your students' snack, lunch, or recess break. In the event of rain, we recommend returning to your school for lunch or snack.
We have 2 accessible bathrooms located within our museum. There is one bathroom upstairs, next to the Lindsay Wildlife Gift Shop and the other bathroom is located downstairs in the hallway that leads to/from Manzanita Room.
There are also accessible bathrooms located on the outside of the building by our Nature Cove exhibit, next to Larkey Park.
Cancellations by the school of a program with four or more weeks' notice have a $50 service fee. Cancellations with less than three weeks' notice from the program date are non-refundable.
All refunds are subject to a $20 service charge. Fees are non-refundable less than two weeks prior to the start of the program. Fees will not be prorated before a program begins. A full refund will be given for any program cancelled by Lindsay Wildlife Experience. No refunds will be issued once a program begins.
