Description

Nestled in the Fleming Park Nature Preserve on the east side of Lake Jacomo, the Kemper Outdoor Education Center is a haven for nature lovers and educators. Hours are: April 1 - May 31, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Closed Memorial Day
June 1 - August 7, Closed to the public. Open only for Jacomo Summer Camp.
August 10- September 25, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Closed Labor Day
The Kemper Outdoor Education Center offers guided interpretive programs for classrooms, youth groups and organizations. In April, May, August and September, the field trip program offers multi-station outdoor education for 1st to 5th grade classrooms.


Lunch Notes

A shelter is located at the back of the property. Picnic tables are available at various locations.

Field Trip

X-STREAM GREEN ADVENTURES

X-Stream Green field trips aim to captivate, engage, and education children outside of the four walls of a traditional classroom. Design your field trip by choosing from among our offered programs. Students are divided into groups and rotate through each of the programs, discovering nature and exploring the outdoors. Field trips are available from mid-April through Mid-May and mid-August through September.

Pricing: $300 - less than 75 students; $400-76 to 100 students. If you have more than 100 students in your group please call us for pricing.
