Welcome to the Dan & Cassidy Towriss IDEA Space, where science, technology, engineering, arts and math are the conduits that spark children’s creativity, imagination and innovation.

In this thoughtfully-designed learning center, K-12 students learn to use the technology and tools that will power tomorrow's workforce. Educators connect for meaningful professional development. And community partners have access to specialized spaces and equipment that turn regular lessons into real-world products and projects.

IDEA Space offers after-school classes, summer camps and school partnerships for students in kindergarten-grade 12.

IDEA Space KC - Summer STEAM Camps

IDEA Space will host Summer at Barstow STEAM camps for grades 1–12 beginning May 30 through Aug. 12. If your student has an interest in developing science, technology, engineering, arts and math skills through exciting hands-on activities, this is the place to be!

Summer at Barstow is the area's most popular camp program, with hundreds of adventures for every age, interest, schedule and budget.

Our exclusive STEAM experiences include Challenge Island, 3D Printing Exploration, Comic Book Creators, PC Gaming, Modern Quilting, Drone Building, Virtual Reality — and more to come.

IDEA Space: After School Classes

Looking for after school activities that are enriching, active and fun for your child? IDEA Space students get comfortable with the technologies and tools that teach design thinking, creativity and collaboration.

They build an "I can do that" attitude and acquire future-proof skills. They problem solve, overcome challenges and develop a resilient and innovative mindset. And did we mention they have so much fun?

Fall after school STEAM courses for students in kindergarten-grade 12 are offered during two sessions, Aug. 21-Oct. 13 or Oct. 16-Dec. 15. Registration for session one begins Monday, July 31.
