Builders, Traders, and Trailblazers Education Experience with Lunch space and craft-180 Minutes
Educate. Engage. Empower. Students follow clues along the Trailblazers Trail, explore historic buildings, meet craftspeople like a master blacksmith, and collect Trailblazer Cards highlighting perseverance, teamwork, and leadership. Each student earns a Trailblazer Badge and an invitation to return for Trailblazer Family Day on the historic canal boat as part of our America 250 celebration. This time slot allows for 9 stops along the Trailblazer’s Journey and time for lunch. Many schools pair this experience with the Monticello III Canal Boat Ride to see how the canal system connected the village to the wider world.

Top Painting is a fun activity for kids in grades K–12. Children create colorful designs while they paint and play. Each participant will make a unique piece of artwork to take home.

Candle Dipping is a hands-on activity suitable for children and adults. Participants will dip a wick repeatedly into warm wax to gradually build their own candle. As the layers of wax form, each person will create a unique handmade candle to take home as a special keepsake
