The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, known for one of the best modern and contemporary art collections, opened in 1959 in the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright designed building located on Fifth Avenue. Featuring rotating exhibitions in the unique rotunda gallery space, the museum also showcases the works in their impressive collection in the additional side galleries. There are various programs and tours catering to students from grades K through 12, and newly added is a program specifically designed for students with autism spectrum disorders.
