Description

The Mr. & Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library and Environmental Learning Center is one of only two public library environmental learning centers in the United States. The library is the result of a unique partnership between the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library, USD 500, and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation Department

The Mr. & Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library offers a variety of hands-on educational and recreational programs to school students and the public.

Teachers can bring their classes on field trips to the library, where their students can participate in programs based on science, nature, environmental, and outdoor education.
