Located on the waterfront in lower Manhattan, Robert F. Wagner Junior Park is a wonderful place to take kids to learn a little more about the water that surrounds the city. While there, kids can play at the park, walk through the gardens and the grass, or walk along the water. The organized field trips, hosted by the Battery City Parks Conservancy, cover a range of topics about the history, geology, ecology and environmental considerations affecting the hudson river. Student are also able to participate in a catch and release fishing program.
