VIRTUAL TOUR: Being Seen: Art for Social Change (3rd - 7th grades)
Description
What can a portrait tell us about a person? How do artists depict the stories of an individual or a community through portraiture? Students in grades 3 through 6 are invited to explore identity through examining portraits. Students will learn to “read” a portrait, compare historical and contemporary portraits through interactive discussions, and consider the power of representation.
