Map your route, buy a MetroCard, and role-play various real-world subway scenarios in this introduction to subway travel, all within the safety of our subway station museum. This is not a tour of the Museum; it is a program focused on the skills of safe and independent subway travel.
This is a two-part, two-visit program. We will be in touch after booking the first visit to book the second part of the program. This program is free but requires a $50 deposit for each visit.
Please note that you cannot book more than one Ready to Ride program per time-slot. If you have more than one group to book, please choose separate days.
The New York Transit Museum is dedicated to telling and preserving the stories of mass transportation – extraordinary engineering feats, workers who labored in the tunnels over 100 years ago, communities that were drastically transformed, and the ever-evolving technology, design, and ridership of a system that runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year. (Opening hours only reflect the group tour schedule. Please visit our website for the general public hours.)
