Living Lab: Hooterific (Grade TK)

Description

Learn about the unique adaptations an owl has to help it survive. Students will learn about the beak, feathers, and wings as they dress up a classmate. Your class is sure to have a hooterific time meeting one of our owl ambassadors through this program!

Preschool programs include an hour-long lesson and craft facilitated by the Living Coast Education Instructor per class. Fees include admission to animal exhibits and a provided lunch space with storage. Exact program schedule varies by group size. Maximum of 3 classes per day (96 students).

Living Coast Discovery Center

The Living Coast Discovery Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit zoo and aquarium located on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Founded in 1987 as the Chula Vista Nature Interpretive Center, we have served the San Diego community for over 30 years. The Living Coast Discovery Center is home to many native San Diego species including sharks, fish, lizards, and birds of prey. Students will have the opportunity to visit our animal ambassadors and explore the Sweetwater Marsh through trail exploration.
