inStill Live: Art in Times of Change

Description

inStill Live is a live, virtual program facilitated by our talented educators via video conferencing. As with inStill at the Museum, this experience is hands-on, interactive, and allows students to be in control of their learning. inStill Live explores the theme Art in Times of Change by taking a closer look at the ways previous crises like The Great Depression and WWII may have impacted Clyfford Still and his work. Students will also consider how they can use art to process or respond to the crises and changes they are experiencing today.

This lesson is designed to be flexible lengths between 30 and 90 minutes. We can also deliver the lesson over multiple days. To check our schedule, request a visit using the links below.

Offered At

Clyfford Still Museum

The Clyfford Still Museum allows visitors the unique experience to explore the legacy of Clyfford Still, an artist whose life has been shrouded in mystery and the bulk of whose work has been hidden from public view for more than 30 years.

inStill Gallery Experiences for Schools, our primary school program, turns the galleries into a classroom for grades 4-12. During inStill students do the looking, talking, writing, and thinking to explore Still's art and develop and defend their interpretations. All inStill lessons are inquiry-based, interactive, and standards-aligned.
