Students will visit one of Columbia University's Engineering departments. The visit will include a general introduction to engineering, a tour of two of our labs, and a couple short demos in the labs. The teacher in charge of the class will also receive pre- and post-visit lesson plans to help make the visit a comprehensive opportunity. These lessons, while optional, are designed to optimize the learning experience.
Our programs provide the opportunity for students to hear from Columbia engineers.
The Inside Engineering Program invites students into Columbia University SEAS (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) labs to show them what engineering in practice looks like.
Engineering Speaks gives engineers from Columbia the opportunity to speak directly to students in local schools.
