Students will explore heredity and traits including extracting real DNA from a strawberry to see the building blocks of life.
Planetarium Show Whale Super Highway-Journey into the ocean to witness the incredible 4,000 mile migration of the humpback whales. Join a team of experts as they attempt to discover what makes the humpbacks so successful on this migration super highway, and witness the beauty of these amazing animals in this immersive show.

Muse Knoxville is a children’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math (STEAM) museum in Chilhowee Park. Our programs in the museum, schools across East Tennessee, & throughout Knoxville bring STEAM, the arts, health & wellness & emergent literacy to life in children’s minds.
Field Trips
Our field trips are 2.5 hours and includes 45 minute each of classroom lesson, planetarium show and free play on the museum floor. Each day Muse Knoxville can accommodate up to 3 groups (classes) per day.
Family Programs
STEAM Nights and Activities include: two hours of thematic programming for 150 people at your location, five STEAM-based activities, Muse Outreach Educators to facilitate, training for volunteers, and optional “add-ons.”
