About Performances for Young Audiences:
As a nonprofit organization located in the heart of Swope Park, Starlight provides this free program thanks to sponsorship from Children's Mercy with support of PNC. This performance is intended for children in grades K-3, and you can register by visiting kcstarlight.com/student-performances/.
About the Show:
Meet two competing friends in this fantastic adaptation of Aesop’s classic fable.
Hare is ready to race, but Tortoise has many things to do before it’s the right time. And time moves so slowly! From sun-shining spring to snow-falling winter, the duo go through all four seasons. Does Hare have the patience? When will they actually start the race? Brimming with charming characters, live music and singing, and wonderful physicality, Tutti Frutti brings you this much-loved story about opposites and friendship.
This performance includes a Teacher Resource Guide--a curated learning tool provided by Starlight staff to provide curriculum connections, pre- and post-visit materials, and a worksheet.
