We offer a variety of age-appropriate field trip options at Dinosaur Ridge. From tours of the Ridge itself to hands-on visitor center programs, you'll find an array of educational, fun learning experiences for students in preschool through high school, with fantastic programs available for adults as well!
"Dinosaur Ridge is the only designated Natural National Landmark and outdoor museum in the Denver-metro area! We serve 15,000 school children per year (ECE-12th Grade) with our programs and offer free field trips for schools with over 50% FRL. We’re ranked as the top dinosaur track site in the United States and are the location of the world’s first Stegosaurus discovery.
Our outdoor science programs engage students in the “doing of science” through the use of hands-on tools and inquiry-based instruction at our Dinosaur Bone Site, Brontosaur Bulges, and world-famous Dinosaur Track Site. Your students will use the scientific method and apply critical scientific thinking by predicting, questioning, and sharing their observations of geologic time, fossils, and past climates. Our programs support Next Generation Science Standards as well as the Colorado Earth and Life Science Standards.
