Farm to Youth - Compost in the Classroom Workshop

Description

Youth interact with a worm composting bin onsite in your outdoor or indoor learning space, and learn how to maintain it! Through hands-on learning young people understand why it's important (and fun!) for sustainable practices to be a part of all of our lives. How much food can 1/2 a pound of worms eat in one week? Let's find out!

Farm to Youth is designed to reach multiple classes in a single visit. We offer between 2 and 4 workshops per visit, and charge a flat rate for the day. The duration for each individual class can range from 40-60 minutes, depending on your school’s daily schedule.

Sample Schedule:
Class 1 - 9:00-9:50
Class 2 - 10:00-10:50
EDUCATOR BREAK 11:00-11:50
Class 3 - 12:00-12:50
Class 4 - 1:00-1:50
