How do people help keep ecosystems in balance? Join us for an exploration of real world challenges we face on the Riverbend preserve. Students will get hands on experience doing stream surveys, identifying invasive plant species, as well as science skills like nature journaling. The cost for this trip is $800 for up to 50 students and $16 per additional student up to 72 students.
Want to stay at Riverbend longer? We offer an add-on Service Learning program for your group to help protect the preserve after lunch. Cost is $400 for 1.5 to 2 hrs. See Service Learning Field Trip description for more information.

Riverbend Environmental Education Center sits on a 30-acre preserve in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. We teach environmental principles to children in Southeastern Pennsylvania through a direct connection with nature, inspiring respect for our natural world, and action as aware, responsible and caring citizens. All of our programs focus on engaging children in the practices of science, including asking questions, making observations, and collecting data.
Some of our programs take place at neighboring preserves located within a short drive of Riverbend's main campus.
Our programs typically begin at 10AM, but we are happy to be flexible to meet our schools' needs. If you would like your program to begin earlier or later, please let us know!
