Winterthur is a museum, garden, library, and state-of-the-art conservation center with more than 90,000 objects, books, manuscripts, ephemera, and photographs that tell the diverse stories of four centuries of American history. The historic estate sheds light on life in the early 20th century, while the world renowned 60-acre naturalistic garden and 1,000 acres of natural lands showcase flowers, gardens, rolling hills, streams, meadows, and forests. The conservation lab leads the way in the scientific treatment of cultural heritage. In short, Winterthur is a hive of scholarship on a wide range of engaging topics.
