Denver Film Society

The Denver Film Society is the premier film programming and cinematic education facility in the Front Range. With a beautiful venue on East Colfax which can accommodate over 350 patrons for screenings, lectures and special events, the Denver Film Society has been at the forefront of community engagement since its inception in 1978.

We encourage teachers to think of us as a one-stop shop for everything cinematic in Denver. We offer filmmaking classes in all aspects of film; from storyboarding to screenwriting and from production to editing. We specialize in film screenings of topics relevant to all areas of study, be they documentaries, foreign language films, narrative fiction, and much more. We can cater our screenings and have access to films that will meet your classroom needs, as well as provide conversation to deepen the context of your area of study. All of this is available to bring to your classroom to engage with your students in unique ways that support your curriculum.
