The City of Lakewood offers three locations to explore and engage in the cultural arts. The Lakewood Cultural Center offers youth and adult arts programming featuring local and national theater troupes, cultural and art classes, rotating exhibits from local Colorado artists and artist-in-residence programs. Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park is a 20th-century museum located in Belmar Park. Home to over a dozen historic structures and houses situated on 15 acres and showcases different pieces of farm equipment and vehicles from the 20th century. The Visitor Center contains two galleries: the Spirit of Lakewood, which tells the story of Lakewood, and the Radius Gallery, which hosts two rotating exhibits each year. The Washington Heights Arts Center offers a wide range of creative art classes for youth through adults. Classes are arranged in short workshop formats to include beginner to advanced pottery classes, metalsmithing, papermaking, weaving, woodcarving, mosaics, painting, and drawing.
