CVESD Coastal Education Program: Beautify the Bay Service Learning Program (Grades 4-8)

Description

This program provides an opportunity for students to learn how they directly impact their local coastal environment. Students learn about watershed pollution, have up- close encounters with marine animals and participate in a beach clean-up.
This program is Tide-Dependent and ONLY offered on a few select dates this year. You MUST pick one of these dates!

Living Coast Discovery Center

The Living Coast Discovery Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit zoo and aquarium located on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Founded in 1987 as the Chula Vista Nature Interpretive Center, we have served the San Diego community for over 30 years. The Living Coast Discovery Center is home to many native San Diego species including sharks, fish, lizards, and birds of prey. Students will have the opportunity to visit our animal ambassadors and explore the Sweetwater Marsh through trail exploration.
