Description

Many of our programs can be selected a la cart style and combined in several unique ways to best serve your goals. For example, combine indoor rock climbing, team building, and the American Mountaineering Museum for a day-long program exploring what it takes to climb a mountain. Contact YEP to discuss your goals and design a unique field trip for your students. Programs can take place at your school, at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, or at a local open space or park.

Prices are based on the highest cost activity and number of students.

Colorado Mountain Club

The Colorado Mountain Club, based in Golden, was organized in 1912 and is dedicated to uniting adventure, education, and preservation of Colorado's mountains. The Youth Education Program (YEP) of the CMC provides hands-on experiences in the classroom and outdoors for over 7,000 Colorado youth from diverse backgrounds every year. By providing opportunities for active learning through experiential and adventure education, YEP ignites a connection to the outdoors for Colorado youth. Furthermore, YEP connects Colorado Academic Standards with the mountains, providing a unique avenue for improving academic skills. Programs take place at your school, the American Mountaineering Center in Golden, or a local open space or park. Many program options can be combined to create a unique day-long program.
