Description
Celebrate your child's next birthday at the New York Transit Museum, the "perfect place to throw your kid's bash," according to Time Out New York Kids. Recommended for kids ages 7-12, this birthday party experience will lead partygoers through an immersive and interactive adventure in the subway station turned museum. A lost time traveler needs help repairing their time machine, and partygoers will need to assist by solving a series of challenges and puzzles hidden in our vintage train cars. Led by experienced and engaging facilitators, participants will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore and investigate a working subway station with over 100 years of transit history brought to life for young transportation enthusiasts!
The Birthday Experience take place Saturday and Sunday at 11:00am and 1:30pm. Experiences last for approximately 75 minutes. The cost for is $900, with a 10% discount for family-level members and above.

New York Transit Museum Virtual Events and Parties
We are not booking virtual events or parties at this time.
Planning a remote holiday party, staff happy hour, or birthday party? Celebrate in subway-style! Museum staff will take you and up to 30 guests on a Zoom tour of the Museum, located in a 1936 subway station, followed by an activity of your choosing. Visit some of our favorite vintage train cars and hear stories about fascinating events and people in NYC history. Then, have fun with an activity that's right for your group.
All Parties Include:
- 2 Transit Museum staff members who will host and keep the party moving!
- A tour of the Museum's platform, with time to ask questions and chat.
- A participatory activity such as a round of Trivia, an Art Activity, or Breakout Rooms.
