Bind Your Story
Description
Any story can become a book! In this workshop, students bring a 'perfect piece' with them to the museum. After a book binding demonstration, each child binds his or her own story into a book to take home. This is a great capstone project for a writng unit.

The Book Binding Museum
Long before the internet, books began to democratize knowledge throughout the world. The Book Binding museum is dedicated to engaging people of all ages in the history and creation of books. Students visiting the museum will learn the book making process and be able to turn a story of their own into a real book to take home. Be sure to join us on the first Saturday of each month, when renowned book preservationist Carla Montori will be presenting the history of book preservation in the United States.
