Description

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Office of Education hosts school groups year-round at the Visitor Center at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Education programs at the Visitor Center at Newtown Creek are scheduled by request for pre-K through 12th grade, undergraduate and graduate-level students, as well as teachers and non-formal educators.

Learn about New York City’s water resources through exhibitions and hands-on education programs featuring information on NYC's water supply and wastewater treatment systems, stormwater management, green infrastructure, and harbor water quality.


Lunch Notes

Classes are welcome to bring and eat lunch at the Visitor Center during their visit.
